THE SEERHEIN INDOOR SWIMMING POOL

The indoor swimming pool at the Seerhein River was opened in 1937 and is primarily used by clubs for swim training and by schools for their swimming lessons. After the destruction of the Schwaketenbad swimming pool by a fire in 2015, it is now also used as a general swimming pool for the public.
The swimming pool features a pool area with 25 metre lanes including a shallow end, which is suitable for children entering the water. The water temperature is approximately 28°C.
Directly adjacent is the Rhine open/air lido (“Reinstrandbad”), which is open during the summer months (from May to September).

COURSES

Our courses will keep you fit and healthy. Our instructors regularly participate in trainings themselves and, as a result, always offer you the latest training methods – for the benefit of your fitness.
Our Swimming lessons for children are aimed at children from 5 years of age. Through playful exercises, the children are first familiarised with the water. Then, they’ll learn the basics of the breast stroke. The course includes 10 exercise units of 45 minutes duration each. This course is available for EUR 60, including admission fee.
Our water gymnastics course, which is free of charge, is intended for everybody who favour joint-saving gymnastics. The lift by the water facilitates all movements and so avoids joint problems and over straining of the muscles. This course is on offer every Monday and Wednesday at 8.15 am.
The aqua fitness course is a mixture of aqua jogging in deep water and aqua fitness exercises in shallow water. Our instructors use different devices and maintain a medium to high intensity level of exercise. This course includes ten lessons of 45 minutes duration each and costs EUR 50. Registration is possible at the ticket desk of the Seerhein indoor swimming pool or by calling +49 7531 9423-990.
